چکیده

Abstract In China, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is considered a malignant tumor with poor prognosis, frequent metastasis, and high relapse rate. Telocytes (TCs) participate in tumorigenic, invasive, migratory processes by secreting functional proteins transmitting cell-to-cell information, but their functions HCC are still unknown. TC counts MMP9 expression liver cancer tissues were measured using immunohistochemistry, western blotting, RT-PCR. Primary TCs from para-cancer cultured vitro. To verify the role of HCC, metastatic animal model was established three types cell lines vivo. promoted metastasis vitro Platelet-derived growth factor-alpha (PDGF-α), secreted cells, activated Ras/ERK signaling pathway TCs, thereby increasing expression; Moreover, miR-942-3p suppressed TCs. Our results reveal mechanisms which they elicit effects, may serve as novel prognostic markers for HCC.

Angiopoietin-like protein 8 (betatrophin) may inhibit hepatocellular carcinoma through suppressing of the Wnt signaling pathway

Objective(s): Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the leading fatal neoplasms and the most common primary liver malignancy worldwide. Peptide hormone ANGPTL8 (betatrophin) may act as an important regulator in HCC development through the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. We aimed to evaluate the effects of recombinant ANGPTL8 on Wnt/β-catenin signaling in human liver carcinom...

PRMT5 promotes cell proliferation by inhibiting BTG2 expression via the ERK signaling pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma

Increasing evidence suggests that PRMT5, a protein arginine methyltransferase, has roles in cell growth regulation and cancer development. However, the role of PRMT5 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression remains unclear. Here, we showed that PRMT5 expression was frequently upregulated in HCC tissues, and its expression was inversely correlated with overall survival in HCC patients. PRMT...

Nanocurcumin-Mediated Down-Regulation of Telomerase Via Stimulating TGFβ1 Signaling Pathway in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells

Background: Curcumin, extracted from turmeric, represents enormous potential to serve as an anticancer agent. Telomerase is viewed as a prominent molecular target of curcumin, and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGFβ1) has proven to be a major inhibitory signaling pathway for telomerase activity. In the current study, we aimed to explore suppressive effects of nanocurcumin on telomeras...

SNF2H promotes hepatocellular carcinoma proliferation by activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide and has an extremely poor prognosis. Surgical resection is always inapplicable to HCC patients diagnosed at an advanced tumor stage. The mechanisms underlying HCC cell proliferation remain obscure. In the present study, SWItch/sucrose nonfermentable catalytic subunit SNF2 (SNF2H) expression was tested in HCC tissues and ...
